Hugo Beck can claim a decade-long development tradition when it comes to automation. They offer support with their expertise throughout the entire automation process, from project planning and manufacture right through to integration into complex packaging lines.
Handling systems such as portals, grouping solutions, stacking and counting devices, cross pusher to name but a few, are integrated reliably into the packaging solutions by our technicians.
Furthermore, various robots systems are used across many industries for the automated feeding of products, helping to for example grip, position, stack, group, stage products. Hugo Beck Servo X E-Com
Film packaging. Automatic adaptation to the product’s length as standard.
With the servo X e-com you are ideally equipped to meet the demands of film packaging for the e-commerce, mail order and logistics sectors.
Whether dealing with the direct dispatch of individual goods, packing groups of products or meeting the complex requirements of returned goods packaging for example, the servo X e-com packs goods with a minimum use of film and automatically adjusts the film bags with four sealed sides to the product’s length as standard.
To support the precise fitting of shipping bags, the servo X e-com fit model also adjusts the bag size to the product’s width so that the machines fully automatically adjust to varying product sizes during the packaging process.
Furthermore, packaging with upper and lower film enables a greater scope for branding, for example with two-tone shipping bags.
Additional options include the ability to add an easy-opening perforation to the bags as well as inserting a double-sided adhesive tape for resealing a bag for returns.

Hugo Beck Shrink Tunnels
AS EFFICIENT AND FLEXIBLE AS OUR PACKAGING MACHINES
Items that have initially been bagged using a machine from Hugo Beck often need to be shrunk so as to ensure a tight-fitting film and the perfect packaging finish to meet the highest standards.
Adapted for each packaging system, they supply the appropriate shrink tunnel in all sizes and performance ranges for the production of high-quality shrink packaging.
As such, they manufacture shrink tunnels in a number of versions, with a variety of rods and chains that operate like a link mesh belt. Textile mesh belts are also possible for very light products. In each case, the length of the shrink tunnel depends on the speed of packaging and on the film material selected.
State-of-the-art air ducting and heat recovery ensure efficient energy use, helping us to contribute to both protection of the environment and reducing energy costs.
The decision on whether to use a shrink tunnel with circulating air or convection principle is defined depending on the individual product application of the customer.

Hugo Beck Suction Belt/Mailtables
Hugo Becks’s high-performance, flexible positionable mailtables are called “maillines” and usually consist of a feeder and an attached alignment section with an outfeed suction belt. All feeders can be used flexibly within the mailline.
The maillines are primarily used for processing flyers, which are for example fed in, grooved and then glued and personalised.
In addition to the mailline they offer the mailline advance, which is not equipped with a continuous suction belt, but with four or six suction conveyor belts, which can be freely shifted and adjusted. The products to be packaged are folded, ploughed or glued.

Hugo Beck Universal Feeder
The universal feeder is usually the main feeder and at the start of the production line.
Hugo Beck’s universal feeders can cope with very heavy products with a height of between 2 and 80 mm. The flexibly applicable feeder is equipped with its own control and drive units.
It is used in both the graphics industry and other industries, for example if puzzles, cardboard, fleece cloths or plastic cutting boards are fed in.

SEMIAUTOMATIC STRAPPING MACHINE WITH LATERAL HEAD AND BAYONET
The semi-automatic strapping machines are particularly suitable for solving the problems of packing small pallets.
Equipped with bayonet, hinged and liftable at 90 ° it allows to optimize the spaces when it is not used, 4 pivoting wheels for a fast positioning of the strapping machine, facilitating the passage of the strap through the pallet to be strapped, proposing on the other side the head of the strap.
At this point it is sufficient to insert this in the appropriate opening to activate the strapping cycle. The welding of the strap is carried out by melting it due to a hot blade whose adjustable temperature is kept constant by a thermoregulator.
